El oriundo de Fresnillo Zacatecas, Pedro Valtierra, nos trae, en colaboración con el Sistema de Transporte colectivo Metro y Cuartoscuro, una exposición retrospectiva de sus 35 brillantes años como fotoperiodista.

Con un gran número de piezas montadas, la muestra persiste como insignia sobre la sensibilidad y el ojo que tuvo Valtierra para retratar momentos tan fundamentales como dramáticos.

Maestro Pedro Valtierra, su lente nos mostró lugares y realidades. Nos enseñó la preocupación y amor por su contexto.

"Photojournalism provides, for me, a more complex and fully human way of capturing, describing and explaining to others what words often fail to do. My frustration with words is that many times I feel they can only go so far to evoke emotion, imagination, consternation and expectation. Words, for me, often only superficially depict what I see, think and feel. Photojournalism can signify a social and empathic visual encounter with "reality", one that is capable of accentuating the textured fabric of the human condition with dignity, grace, and compassion".
